If your child is ill
Please keep your child at home if she is ill or infectious, and phone us on the first day that she is ill. An ill child will not be happy in school, and will only infect others. We will therefore telephone you and ask you to collect your child if she becomes ill during the day.
We will always contact you at once if your child suffers anything more than a trivial injury, a head injury or if she becomes unwell during the school day, or if we have any queries or concerns about her health. Accidents which occur at school are dealt with by a qualified first aider, recorded in the school accident book and you will be informed when you collect your daughter at the end of the day.
It is imperative that the school secretary has a record of your emergency contact numbers. Please remember to let us know if your numbers change (including mobiles).
Please inform school as soon as possible on the day of absence if your daughter will not be in school and every day of absence thereafter. Once your daughter is ready to return, please send a letter explaining her absence.
Infections
Please remember sickness, infection and diarrhoea spread rapidly amongst young children. We therefore ask that you keep your daughter at home for at least 48 hours afterwards, before returning to school/nursery.
If your daughter has headlice, please advise us, but keep your daughter at home until she has been treated.
