125th Birthday Celebration Book

The main purpose of the OGA is to encourage and enable former pupils to maintain contact with each other and with the school. The Association is open to all past pupils, whatever their age or duration of their years at the school. Members of the teaching staff are also invited to become affiliated members of the Association when they leave or retire from the school.

How the OGA is Organised?

The organisation of the OGA is in the hands of a committee which meets twice a year. Each year the Upper Sixth Leavers are asked to choose one or two of their members to represent their interests by serving on the committee. Ideally, these are people who intend to stay in the Durham Area. Meetings are held in the evening at school in March and October. Shortly after each committee meeting a newsletter is sent out to all members of the Association to keep them up to date with school affairs.

Reunions and Other Events

The major event of the OGA year is the Dinner held shortly before Christmas and last year was held in Collingwood College. The OGA also helps year groups plan reunions and should you require assistance, we are here to help.

Congratulations to...

Rosie Corner, pupil at the High School from 2001 to 2008, who has recently been invited onto the National Trust Committee. This is a wonderful achievement and we look forward to hearing further news from her.
