Junior House
The school day is from 8.45am to...
Nursery (3.00pm onwards)
Reception, Years 1 & 2 (3.15pm)
Years 3, 4, 5, 6
(3.40pm)
Part-time Nursery places are available. Durham High School has access to Nursery funding from Durham LEA. This means that parents of eligible children wanting to access their free entitlement of up to 15 hours per week can do so without paying any fee; however preference will be given to parents who request a full time place.
In Junior House, girls may arrive in school from 8.20am and After School Care is available at the end of the school day until 5.30pm. There is no charge for After School Care.
Senior House
The school day is from 8.40 am to 3.55 pm.
In Senior House, girls may arrive in school from 8.00am and may stay in school supervised in a Homework Club until 5.30pm each day.
Transport
The school is easily accessible from surrounding areas. We have school transport available from almost all areas of the county.
Open Days
Open Days are held in October, November and July.
Parents are welcome to make an appointment to see the Head at any other point in the year. They are warmly invited to see the school in operation.
Uniform
The school shop is able to supply all items of uniform at competitive prices.
