The School Day
JUNIOR HOUSE

Part-time Nursery places are available. Durham High School has access to Nursery funding from Durham LEA. This means that parents of eligible children wanting to access their free entitlement of up to 15 hours per week can do so without paying any fee; however preference will be given to parents who request a full time place.
In Junior House, girls may arrive in school from 8.20 am and After School Care is available at the end of the school day until 5.30 pm. There is no charge for After School Care.
SENIOR HOUSE
The school day is from 8.40 am - 3.55 pm.
In Senior House, girls may arrive in school from 8.00 am and may stay in school supervised in a Homework Club until 5.30 pm each day.
TRANSPORT
The school is easily accessible from surrounding areas. We have school transport available from almost all areas of the county.
OPEN DAYS
Open Days are held in October, November and July.
Parents are welcome to make appointments to see the Headmistress at any other point in the year. They are warmly invited to see the school in operation. Click here to view open day dates.
