Family Sunday Services at Durham High School for Girls
Come and join us…
Durham High School for Girls aims to help all its pupils to grow and develop to their full potential in every part of their life. As part of this, we offer to all pupils, parents, carers and staff to be part of our regular Sunday services. Whether you’ve never really thought about the Christian Faith, are already active in your Christian life or are somewhere in between, we hope the Sunday Service has something to offer to you. We aim for them to be relaxed and welcoming with variety in our music, drama and prayer.
The service is held in the Senior Hall (come in through reception and someone will show you the way if you don’t know already) about once a month during term time. It’s a great opportunity to meet others from the school and come together to explore faith and worship God. It’s a good opportunity to spend some time as a family too.
When does the Service start?
The Service starts at 3.30pm and is usually finished by 4.30pm, but you are welcome to stay afterwards for a drink and delicious biscuits, as well as a chance to have a chat with others.
Some Sundays are All Age services, where we enjoy worshipping God all together. On other Sundays, there are groups for 3-11s and 11-14s.
