We would like to invite you to our Sunday Services at Durham High School, on the second Sundays of the month, 3.30pm - 4.30pm in the Main Hall.
All family are very welcome and we enjoy refreshments together at the end of each service in the dining room.
We run Explorers (3 - 10s) and Pathfinders (11 - 14s) during the service, run by Gill Settle, Mr and Mrs Elliott and a team of helpers. We have also have a crèche.
These services are supported enthusiastically by the Diocese of Durham and overseen by a committee, chaired by Arch Deacon Ian Jagger.
Our intention is to provide our community of parents and girls with an opportunity to worship and grow in faith together, especially for those families who, for various reasons, have no commitment to a local church. Grandparents, friends and neighbours are also warmly invited.
Both children and adults take an active part in our times together as well as Mrs Templeman and Mrs Jacklin, who lead the services, and we often have a visiting speaker. There are many opportunities for everyone to join in. You can sing or play in the worship band, serve refreshments, help with Explorers, read, write prayers, perform drama sketches or dance routines or welcome people at the door! The Junior Choir perform at our Christmas service, our Brownie Pack also come along sometimes and we have a group of parents and girls, who meet to review and plan for the future too.
If you would like to get more involved, please just volunteer!
