In the busyness of daily life, it is always good to just sit down to re-orientate, re-energise and relax a little. This is what the Quiet Room is for.

Of course, many also use it as a space for prayer and worship and there are many resources to aid them, if they need. We enjoy the privilege of having a stained glass window (below) specially designed and made by Dr Ruth Etchells, called High School Annunciation, which is inspirational in many ways. Particularly, it speaks of God’s call on our lives and how we might respond to him.

The girls have helped to choose the furnishings of the Quiet Room and we now have low chairs, bean bags and low lighting, plants, candles and notice boards. They will also find Bibles, prayer anthologies, candles (with staff supervision only!), a CD player and meditative CDs, books and prayer aids. This room is also used by the CU and Confirmation groups for fellowship, Bible study and prayer.
