Knitting Club

Knitting ClubGirls in Years 3 and 4 enjoy spending the cold, dark nights of the autumn term learning how to knit. They learn the basics of casting on and garter stitch, with some girls even progressing on to stripes!

Each girl produces at least one knitted square, measuring 10 square centimetres. Girls who are bitten by the knitting bug often end up producing over five a week!

The squares are sewn together to make a lovely blanket which is sent to Lesotho. All of the girls are proud of their achievement and enjoy their weekly ‘knit and natter’!
