Junior House Girls

Rugby Club

Rugby ClubRugby is played as an extra curricular sport each autumn term.

In common with most other primary schools, we play Tag Rugby, a non-contact version of the sport with simplified rules and game play. The girls learn how to pass and receive the ball reliably and to tackle effectively. In attack, particular emphasis is placed on the ability to run effective lines, carry the ball at pace and evade tackles. Equally, in defence, emphasis is placed on efficient defensive line-ups and the effective teamwork that entails.

We have participated in Tag Rugby festivals against other local primary schools.
