We run a number of different trips, and try and take all Year groups out at some stage in the school year. In 2006, for instance Year 7 visited Fountains Abbey, in 2007 Year 8 will go to Beamish, and Year 9 will hear a Holocaust survivor talk.

In Year 10 we visit the Thackray Medical museum in Leeds to support the GCSE Medicine course, and Year 11 visited a theatre show on Medicine through the ages for similar reasons. We visit London or Manchester with the 6th form to attend lecture days.

We have recently started venturing outside of the North-East of England – in 2006 we ran a trip to the Battlefields, in 2008 6th form History and Politics students will be visiting the United States, and in 2009 we will be going to Berlin.
