Year 9 - 'Science Alive' Trip

All year 9 pupils attended a ‘Science Alive’ event run by Northumbria University to celebrate this year’s Science week, in March. Pupils took part in a variety of different science-based activities including an engineering project, food testing, learning about fossils, and some were lucky enough to learn a bit more about our universe inside the inflatable planetarium.

Year 10 - 'Festival of Science and Engineering' Trip

In March, all year 10 pupils attended the ‘Festival of Science and Engineering’ at Durham University. They took part in a variety of activities, including an extended engineering project, and they learnt more about microscopy, thermal imaging and the study of the brain. All pupils learnt a lot about the work of scientists and great fun was had by all.
