The department offers an extremely active extra curricular activity programme.  Clubs operate both at lunchtime and after school.   For more information click here to see the current extra curricular programme.

We run hockey, netball, cross country, tennis, rounders and swimming teams at every age group. For more information click here to see the current fixture list.

Hockey

We consistently do well in County tournaments and local leagues, with some of our teams becoming County Champions.  Several girls are regularly chosen to represent the County with many more involved in the Area Hockey Academy squads.  Our well qualified staff are involved as County selectors, coaches and team managers.

Netball

Girls play competitive netball from Y7 to sixth form.  Our success in local leagues is outstanding; we are regular winners at all age groups, every season.  Many girls are selected to attend the Area Netball Academy.

Tennis

We have an exemplary record in area, regional and national competitions.  We have a large number of girls who play tennis to an exceptional standard, with girls holding County and national rankings.  Each year we win the local league competitions.  We benefit greatly from staff who are very involved in LTA tennis.

Athletics We operate athletics in three disciplines: cross-country, track and field and combined events.  We are very successful in each category at Area and County level; at present we have an unprecedented number of girls on County teams.  Skiing Girls can attend a weekly ski club at Silksworth ski centre with teams competing at regional and national level on the dry slope.  Some girls are invited to train with the National Squad on snow.
