German at GCSE
In years 10 and 11 pupils are prepared for the AQA GCSE linear examination which is tested at the end of Year 11 by means of a Listening Comprehension Paper, a Reading Comprehension Paper, a Speaking Test conducted by the High School staff, and three coursework assignments completed over the two years of the course.
The course-book for for GCSE is Fokus Deutsch and this is supplemented with listening and reading materials from authentic sources including video, DVD, and Internet resources.
