Schroder Library

The Schroder Library

Senior Girls reading quietly in the LibraryThe purpose built and well resourced Schroder Library at DHSfG was opened in 2003. It supports the curriculum at all levels and provides a spacious environment for all members of the school with areas for group work and private study.

Staffed by a chartered Librarian, pupils are encouraged to develop their information handling skills and become independent learners.

As well as a comprehensive non-fiction area there is a wide-ranging fiction collection. Reading has a high profile at DHSfG and there are a lot of opportunities for pupils to participate in extra-curricular activities including reading groups and judging book awards.
