Senior House girls join us from a wide range of maintained and independent schools; a genuine cross section of the community. We encourage our girls to approach their studies with enthusiasm and commitment. Our aim is to create independent learners ready to take on any challenge. Classroom activities are often supplemented by excursions, theatre visits, workshops, field trips and study days.

Great emphasis is placed on the importance of an all-round education, with a balance of Arts, Sciences, practical and creative subjects. Girls in the first three years in Senior House therefore follow all subjects of the National Curriculum, with the addition of German, as a second modern language and Latin.

Science is taught as three separate subjects to all girls from Year 7 onwards in our light, modern laboratories. For GCSE, girls choose to study either the three Sciences or a Dual Award course.
