Mathematics is a popular choice at A level with around 15-20 girls taking the full A2. In addition, interest in Further Mathematics is growing where typically 4 – 8 girls will take Further Mathematics as a forth A Level.

The Department follows the Edexcel modular syllabus. Full details can be found at www.edexcel.com by following the GCE Mathematics link.
The award of A Level mathematics is made upon the completion of 6 modules. Three will be covered in each of Year 12 and Year 13. Each module is assessed with a 1 ½  hour exam, taken in the summer at the end of each year respectively.
