The AS course focuses on:
- The detailed study of one set work, currently Mozart’s 41st Symphony ‘Jupiter’.
- The study of a selection of songs from 3 or 4 musicals.
- Composing one piece for AS assessment.
- Preparing and recording solo and ensemble performances.

A2 (Upper 6th)
AQA MUSIC, UNITS 4, 5 & 6
The A2 course focuses on:
- The detailed study of one set work, currently Mahler’s 4th Symphony.
- The study of music from several 20th century English choral works.
- Developing listening and appraising skills, working with music in a variety of styles and traditions.
- Composing one piece for A2 assessment.
- Preparing a solo recital of 10-15 minutes.
