For the most able and those with a passion for mathematics there is the option of Further Mathematics. For a full A Level girls must take an additional 6 modules. (An AS can be awarded if three modules are covered)
Essentially, further mathematicians cover the above A level modules in Year 12 and take the Further Mathematics modules in Year 13. These will consists of the following,
One or both of,
- Further Pure 2
- Further Pure 3
and three or four from,
- Statistics 2
- Mechanics 2
- Mechanics 3
- Decision 1
- Decision 2
