It is unfathomable that we are just three weeks away from half term. The return to school after New Year has been a total whirlwind, but it is so exciting to be back and looking forward to many exciting events and trips still to come before Easter.
We are so proud of our fantastic Year 5 pupils, who finished joint 2nd in the County Hockey Tournament yesterday.
The girls showed incredible improvement throughout and some amazing teamwork to achieve this success. Perhaps most importantly, the girls had a lot of fun. Well done!
Parents and Friends Donation
Over the last few years, the Parents and Friends have been working with the school to spend money raised to purchase equipment and finance events to enhance the educational experience of our pupils. There has been discussion on the next ‘big ticket’ item at recent meetings and consensus reached on providing money towards a new kitchen for the Sixth Form Centre. As the amount given to the school will be over £5,000, they would like to offer parents the opportunity to contribute any feedback they may have. If you would like to share any comments, please complete the short form here by Friday 4 February 2022.
We are delighted to be returning to the Gala Theatre on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 March 2022 for our annual musical performance. This year, we will be staging the iconic musical Anything Goes. This wonderful show promises to delight and entertain as we follow the antics and the trials and tribulations of these loveable characters. With tap dancing sailors, hapless gangsters and more than one set of star-crossed lovers, anything could happen! Tickets can be purchased from the Gala Durham website.
