Come and play at one of our Outdoor Tots sessions

Pupils in Year 5 are currently studying microbes in Science and as part of this, they have learned about the importance of good food hygiene.

To follow up the work in class, they were able to have a visit to our school kitchen, where our Catering Manager Annie explained about the ways that the kitchen staff have to take care during food preparation and distribution.

Pupils learned about the colour-coded chopping boards; the importance of checking food temperatures before, during and after cooking and the importance of regular cleaning.

It was really interesting for the girls to see how their class work related to real-life every day situations.
