Year 8 pupil Darcy beat her previous javelin record by nearly 4m last week, to make it into the North East top 3 for U15s.
Darcy attended an athletics competition in Middlesbrough at the weekend, where she competed in the javelin.
She beat her previous record of 22.97m to throw a huge 26.08m. This places her 3rd in the North East for the U15 age category, despite being only 13.
This was only Darcy’s third athletics competition, so this is a huge sporting achievement.
