We make sure that each child has the opportunity to represent Durham High School in a variety of sports. Our Prep teams have a busy fixture list, competing against all the local independent schools in hockey, netball, swimming, rounders, cross-country, athletics and tennis. Such is the impressive standard our pupils achieve, that they regularly return home as tournament winners, proud to show off their medals and trophies.

House cross-country competitions and the Swimming Gala are fiercely contested and the sporting year culminates in Sports Days for pupils of all ages – Nursery included!

It is because pupils achieve such high standards in sport, that so many are selected for Netball Satellite Academies and JDC hockey development.
